Quality
is one of GATI's top priorities. GATI has two tiered Quality Assurance
Management Structure:
Quality Assurance Director - As a part of GATI’s continuing
program for excellence in contract performance, GATI will assign a Quality
Assurance Director. He or She will be responsible to GATI's President
for performance on all contracts. The QA Director will create in each contract
a quality assurance organization headed by a QA Manager
to meet the contract needs. The duties and responsibilities of the QA Director
are as follows:
- Develop a Quality Assurance program for GATI, which will guarantee
that quality hardware, software and services are developed and delivered according
to contract requirements
- Establish quality assurance policies, standards, and procedures,
and ensures these are implemented
- Direct the planning and implementation of GATI’s Quality Assurance
Program.
Quality Assurance Manager -The Quality Assurance Manager has
extensive experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of
documentation describing program/system criteria, specifications, descriptions,
operating instructions, and unique characteristics. He is knowledgeable in
conducting quality control inspections and testing and has a background involving
the establishment and managing control for hardware and software documentation.
The QA Manager will report directly to the QA Director and advises in parallel
to the Project Manager. His or Her responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct detailed reviews and requirements documentation, software
specifications, development plans, Configuration Management plans and procedures,
discrepancy reports, change requirements, test plans, and test procedures
- Conduct reviews of the engineering survey and equipment installation
- Monitor all cutover and test sequences and control a copy of
the current approved test procedures
- Verify that new procedures are incorporated into test procedures
for changes and that testing continues in accordance with program requirements
- Ensure that problem reports are prepared in accordance with
configuration management procedures and monitor the progress of corrections
- Maintain copies of all problem reports and conduct an analysis
of them for trend identification
- Ensure review of the data base design
- Ensure a functioning configuration management program
- Generate and provide to the Project Manager schedules and staffing
plans for each work element
- Ensure that program schedules, costs, and standards are adhered
to and accurately report discrepancies in a timely manner
- Participate in and support program meetings as required
- Verify and certify that the delivered products meet the design
requirements
- Participate in monitoring quality assurance records to verify
compliance
- Develop detailed step-by-step procedures to ensure compliance
with established policies
- Maintain current standards and procedures document consistent
with the requirements
- Participate in reviews
- Review standards and specifications.
