| Global Advanced Technology, Inc. (GATI) was
incorporated by Shirley Young in June 1995. GATI has been conducting
electronic ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) design and project
management consulting services. GATI's major customers included EDA
vendor, Synopsys, Lucent Technologies, Agere, Nortel Networks and Sycamore
Networks.
In 1997, GATI was SBA (Small Business Administration) DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program) certified. GATI had also gotten SOMWBA certification from Massachusetts. In 1998, Shirley Young founded a sister company GATIT in Taiwan, R.O.C. GATI had supported GATIT with major customers such as ACER Computers, TSMC and UMC. In 2003, GATI diversified to include State and Federal Government contracts. To date, GATI was awarded three contracts from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 2004, GATI received SBA 8(a) and DBE Certifications. The 8(a) graduation date is April 2013. In 2004, GATI was featured in Massachusetts Affirmative Market Program as a Success Story doing business with the Commonwealth.
